Creative Director, James Bond Franchise

Mostasa was the creative studio I co-founded in Los Angeles, working for MGM, Fox, Universal, MTV, and Warner Bros. On the James Bond franchise, I was the Creative Director for everything the films did online across three releases. jamesbond.com was the franchise's home online, and anything creative that lived there, whether my team built it or I directed external teams and partners, went through me.

It was more than a promotional page. It was an ecosystem of connected microsites: a new site for each film release, promotional partner sites, an official news hub that aggregated Bond news, and Moneypenny's Rolodex, a searchable encyclopedia of the entire franchise, every villain, henchman, location, gadget, and car across the films. The site also shipped worldwide alongside each film, built out in five languages across dozens of territories. In 2002, with no automatic translation and no location awareness, that meant building and maintaining a separate microsite for each language by hand. Keeping all of it coherent meant treating Bond online as an ongoing global product, not a campaign that shipped once.

Each film also moved through a full release lifecycle, theatrical, home video, and VOD, and every window brought new key art, new messaging, and new promotional partners. I aligned five luxury partners, Omega, Aston Martin, BMW, Land Rover, and Heineken, so that neither their brand nor the franchise was diluted, and set and defended the creative direction with the studio's senior executives throughout. One of the franchise microsites earned an MPAA Key Art Award; the studio's work was also recognized by Apple, Adobe, and How Magazine.
